Join us at 5 pm for Andrea Quinn’s presentation, Civil War Nurses. Andrea is a historian and writer specializing in Civil War–era women, with a primary focus on the life and legacy of Arabella Griffith Barlow and the work of other nurses of the U.S. Sanitary Commission. Her biographical research draws on letters, diaries, and institutional records to illuminate the intellectual, emotional, and physical labor of women engaged in wartime care.
