Upcoming Events
Death over Donuts at Crozet Library
January 22 from 1:00-2:30 PM
We’re not going to sugar coat it—talking about death can be hard. At Death Over Donuts, we make space for honest conversation. Join us for an afternoon of community, connection, and curiosity about life’s final chapter. In small groups, you’ll explore thought-provoking questions hand-picked by our Hospice of the Piedmont Death Doulas, swapping stories and insights in a space that feels as warm as a fresh cup of coffee.
Death over Drafts at Seven Arrows Brewing Co.
January 26 from 5:30-7:00 PM
Death Over Drafts is an evening of community, connection, and casual conversation about death. But don’t worry, this isn’t a gloomy affair. We’re here to celebrate the full cycle of life. Participants are invited to gather in small groups and discuss thought-provoking questions selected by our team of Death Doulas. This is not a lecture; this is a discussion. Together, we’ll create a comfortable space to share stories and make it easier to talk about this inevitable chapter.

Grief in Winter Workshop
January 21 from 12:00-1:00 PM
The winter season can be a joyful time, and yet it can also bring down our spirits with dreary days and long, dark, and cold nights. Many of us experience feelings of stress, fatigue, confinement, boredom, and a general sense of depression during this time of year. The facilitators of this online workshop will share ideas and positive steps to help us take care of ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually, especially during the winter season.
Hospice of the Piedmont: Kids' Grief and Healing
Our organization provides non-medical support for children and teens who’ve lost loved ones. Through our Journeys camps, teen groups, and creative expression programs, we help young people (4-18) forge connections with others and develop coping skills.
