Unidirectional Flushing Town Square and Culpeper High School Areas

The Town of Culpeper Public Works Department will conduct unidirectional flushing (UDF) of the water distribution system in Town Square and the Culpeper High School area from Monday, September 22, 2025, through Friday, September 26, 2025, weather permitting.

The areas include Dominion Square Shopping Center, Ira Hoffman Lane, and North Main Street from the roundabout to the Town limits.

Flushing will take place daily between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

A safety workzone will be in place during operations. Motorists are asked to pay attention to changing roadway conditions and drive slowly around utility work zones.

Some discoloration of water should be expected, but the condition should be temporary. Should water discoloration persist, please call the Public Works Department at (540) 825-0285.
